HUG Your Baby Reaches Out to Military Families in South Carolina!
Gale Touger, Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified HUG Teacher, will soon be introducing HUG Your Baby to those who support young military families in South Carolina. Gale recently communicated with Susan Hall and Debbie Malphrus from the MCRD Command's "New Parent Support Program" and had a wonderful conversation about the services they now provide. Gale, who has years of experience in community health and pediatric care, was VERY impressed by the quality and quantity of programs offered to these expectant and new moms and dads. She was quick to recognize that The HUG would both complement the services already provided and further enhance the skills of the professionals she will be teaching.
Many thanks to Gale for her initiative in setting up a HUG Your Baby teaching session in South Carolina. It is exciting to realize this is yet another of several important HUG outreach efforts to US service families. Several years ago HUG Your Baby provided free HUG DVDs for Operation Special Delivery. In 2009 one of the US military bases in Germany distributed The HUG DVD to each of the new parents they served.
Every professional who now uses The HUG strategies, tools and techniques rejoices in knowing that these resources will soon be more available to those who serve our country so well!
