Introducing FIRST HUG Your Baby Trainer!

Over the past year Jan is delighted to see that professionals across the USA and around the world are expressing interest in The HUG. Orders for The HUG DVD and the Roadmap to Breastfeeding Success, registrations for the Certified HUG Teacher program and requests to present at professional conferences are starting to put a strain on Jan's office and calendar. So, Jan put her mind to finding the best person to join her taining team. And now, she is eager to introduce the FIRST HUG Your Baby Trainer, Gale Touger, FNP!

Jan and Gale have known each other for decades. They were friends when they each became new moms and learned together what a big job it is to be new parent. They also discovered the incredible benefit of having like-minded and supportive friends around and of absorbing the wisdom of Dr. T. Berry Brazelton from his popular TV show, "What Every Baby Knows."

Jan was delighted to join Gale and the SAS Health Care staff 25 years ago. And they and other dedicated colleagues worked hard to develop the pediatric and breastfeeding program for the parents they served. It was no surprise that integrating Brazelton's philosophy and techniques into SAS's developing pediatric program became a high priority for Jan and Gale.

Gale is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked with families for thirty years. In more recent years she has been working in a pediatric practice in Beaufort, SC, serving among others, many military families. Gale completed the Certified HUG Teacher program and is integrating this material into the work she does with new moms and dads in her practice. In addition Gale is now offering training to local professionals and will be joining Jan to teach professionals across the USA.

These pictures were taken when Gale was co-teaching with Jan at a fun-filled class held at Jan's home last Saturday.

Please join me in welcoming Gale Touger to The HUG family as she becomes instrumental in spreading The HUG tools and techniques far and wide!
