Elda lives in Los Angeles, CA and works as a Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist and The Happiest Baby on the Block Educator. She shares with us her experience becoming a Certified HUG Teacher.
Through my own experience and by observing the struggle of new parents to understand their newborn babies’ cues and needs, I felt compelled to pursue a very rewarding career as a Postpartum Doula and NCS. I’ve been helping families and their babies for the last 7 years. My passion is to help families into parenthood and ease their babies into the world.
Recently I attended a Sleep Training seminar and there, I came across with Hug Your Baby website. I’m glad I did! As soon as I got home, I opened your website to learn more about the training. I was very attracted by the gentle approach to help new parents to understand their babies. I was so excited to learn more about the Hug Your Baby method that I didn’t wait another day to take the first step to become one of the Hug Your Baby’s teachers. I enrolled to the training right away. Now that I finished this course, I feel more confident when I talk to parents about their struggle with their new babies. I am more comfortable to help them to understand their babies’ behavior, sleep patterns and how to respond efficiently to their cues. It’s so rewarding to see how parents grow to be more comfortable with their little ones.
My goal for 2019 is to organize workshops to teach Hug Your Baby method to new parents in Brazil.
